Michal Rajaj set up Popular® in 2003 with fashion designer Zuzana Kubanova as a platform for graphic design, product design, fashion and music, with the ambition to compete on the international market. In 2005 they moved to their own space, “Popular Factory” and took on employees for production. They now hope to extend their work to other areas of design and architecture through collaboration.
Popular® became a part of the Slovak and Czech design community and the favourite alternative brand, mainly because of its high quality production values and non aggressive marketing. Popular® have participated in several design projects organized by the Slovak Design Centre, and in exhibitions in the Czech Republic, Slovenia (bio20),
Austria and Hungary.
Big part of Popular is music. We promote and support quality music.
